an ordinary afternoon at our house……

February 17, 2012

sophia tried her first “finger food” & she loved it. she had sweet potato puffs… yumm!  however,  i think she liked playing with them more than she liked eating them. sophia loves to find the smallest of things & focus on just that one thing, like buttons, jewelry, small toys & anything else she may stumble onto & usually it has to be taken away because it is too small for her & is a hazard.  i love watching her hands while she holds whatever it is & i always wonder what she is thinking because she get’s an incredibely focused & thoughtful look on her face, i know she is trying to figure out how to work the thing she is holding.

after lunch we decided to take a few self-portraits…

in the mirror of course….

of course there always is plenty of “floor time” every day. i think it is sophia’s favorite thing, to crawl around & play with her toys & with mommy or daddy or her brother or sister…

and now she is confidently pulling herself up to stand…

i really can not believe how steady she has gotten on her feet in such a quick time. i know that she will be standing all on her own in no time!!

sophia has seen the camera so much already in her life that she knows what to do when she sees it… what a ham!!

my view throughout the day…

of course my view looking down would not be complete without the dog, sometimes i feel like we have two babies. if sophia is crying or upset, alot of times biggs will come up to me & decide that he needs to whimper & cry to me as well…

with five people in this house & one of them being a little cutie baby that has many wardrobe changes throughout the day, there is no way my view would be complete without laundry…

….just a glimpse into how sophia & i spend a typical day… and just one more cute picture of her…
