an early birthday present…

i have been wanting to get sophia a sand box for awhile now, today i woke up with a mission… to get the girl her sand box.

i didn’t want plasitc but that is all the stores sell so i had to build my own, so off we went to home depot for some wood & sand…

it only took a couple hours to pull up the grass, make the box frame, set the box into the soil & fill it with sand… grammy & arthur were here at just the right time so grammy watched sophia while i dug & arthur showed me how to build the box (well, he pretty much built it)…

the car was packed full of sand when we got home…
