one year old…

SOPHIA IS ONE!!

what a sweet, sweet baby girl we have. it is so hard to believe that last year we were just bringing you into the world & meeting you for the first time & now, today, you are sitting up in your chair, eating cake, smiling, laughing, clapping your hands, dancing & communicating with us. these past 12 months have flown by sophia, you have changed so much, grown so much.

i forgot how much fun 1st. birthday’s are… you got a few presents, (wer’e saving the rest for you to open at your party on saturday), & alot of love & “happy birthday” wishes. you weren’t too sure about your birthday cake or us signing to you at first, but as the pictures show, you ended up loving it…

you loved your shopping cart full of “groceries”…

you & mikayla would fill up the cart then you would dump it all out… over & over again…

sophia, you have always been such a happy girl. it makes us so happy & content to see you smiling & laughing & happy & healthy. of course you have your moments, we all do baby girl, but you are just a happy little person… & we love every minute of it…

one year ago today i thought my heart was full, with your dad & mikayla & jarred & my parents & brothers & family & friends… & then you showed up & in an instant you showed me just how much love i had inside of me left to give. thank you sophia.

i’m not sure why but sophia really wasn’t sure about us singing happy birthday to her, she looked scared while we were singing but then we started clapping & everything was o.k. again…

i took 388 pictures today, i know kind of ridiculous, so i am trying to pick out just the ones we really love to post here. sorry if i put way too many photos of her & her cake…

“oh-no… seriously, i ate way too much cake”…

i think the cake was a hit. she had so much fun getting all sticky & messy & hopped up on sugar. unfortunately, she wasn’t having such a great time that night… she had way too much sugar & her little body just wasn’t used to it so she lost all of that sugar…  all over me.

our first year together was amazing,  i know that none of us could ever imagine our lives without you sophia…
