NIGHT 2… May 24th.2012
both sophia & i were running on VERY FEW hours of sleep all day from last nights follow thru of “operation sleep”. i was hoping that would mean that she would sleep better tonite, i know that if given the chance… i will!!!!!
sophia got her milk starting at 8:35 p.m… she fell asleep with me & she was in her crib & asleep at 8:50 p.m..
she was crying at 8:56 p.m… i let her cry it out for 10 minutes & then i went into her room & quietly laid her back down, kept my hand on her back for a few minutes & as soon as i lifted my hand off of her back, she was screaming… i left the room & let her cry it out for 15 minutes, (i know it should have been 20 minutes but i just couldn’t handle it anymore) & i am so glad that i went in when i did because she just needed to see me, i laid her down, held my hand on her back for maybe one minute & she was out… it is now 11:18 p.m. & she is sleeping soundly.
tonight is already going much easier than last.
Sophia ended up sleeping from the time that i laid her back down at 11:18 p.m. until 7:20 a.m…
we are so proud of you baby sophia, for being such a big girl & sleeping in your own room…
NIGHT 3… May 25th.2012
sophia got her bottle of milk starting at 8:20 p.m..
at some point we both ended up falling asleep, i woke up at 9:30 p.m. & got her into her crib without her waking.
she woke, crying, at 11:15 p.m…. i went into her room, laid her back down & held my hand on her back for only a few minutes. she wasn’t completely asleep but now i think she is ready & more willing to get herself back to sleep, on her own.
uh-oh… it is 11:56 p.m. & she is screaming again.
sophia was up all night!! she cried & screamed for hours… i was going in her room about every half-hour…
she finally fell asleep about 3:45 a.m. & she was up by 7:00 a.m.
last night was a long one… i really hope that tonite is better!!
NIGHT 4, May 26th.2012
I gave her her bottle about 8:30 p.m… she was asleep & in her crib by 9:15 p.m. & she slept until about 11:30 p.m….
i went into her room, laid her down & stood by her for a few minutes, i left her room, she fussed for just a few minutes, then she was asleep…
she slept all night until 7:00 a.m. & shane got up with her!!! i slept!! she slept!! today is going to be a good day!!!
