we write letters to grandparents & her daddy & her brother & sister…
we race to the mail to see if those letters came for her daddy & sister…
we run back to the mail to see if anyone has written back, which of course they did & she was sooooo happy!! I just keep thinking that mail is so fun when you are a kid, when you are an adult it feels like nothing good comes in the mail, just people wanting more money. so I am happy the mail can be happy for her…
I turned 39. we got to go to my mom & Arthur’s that sunday night, mom had made her Mexican food that we grew up with & Arthur made me this beautiful cake. we had a fire pit, we all smelled like we had been camping for weeks when we got home. ha. we had such a great time & on the way home there was this beautiful double rainbow. on my birthday I woke up to flowers from shane & went to an awesome lunch with my dad where we had such a great time. that evening we got to go to meme & papa’s & celebrate some more. thank you everybody for making my birthday so special…

I have started finishing mikayla’s quilt that I started making three years ago, yes seriously, three years ago. I work on it for a while & then put it away for a long while & then bring it back out. this time I can feel it, I will finish it. it is a queen size quilt, by far the largest project I have taken on, it is faaaaaaaarrrrrrrr from perfect but I love it & so does Mikayla…
we go for walks out at Mahoney. this day was a Friday & it was the national boy scout convention out there that weekend so we didn’t stay long, it was crazy busy but it looked like everybody was going to have fun that weekend…
we go for walks with grammy mary & laugh the whole time…
the street I grew up on. no idea why this sign is out in the middle of the trail out there, pretty funny to see.
we walked up over the crest & I saw where tony is laid to rest. we didn’t speak about it but we both paused.
I watch Sophia play golf out back with her daddy. the sweetest…
we go to runza so Sophia can use her dollar that she got in the mail to buy herself a treat, a swirl ice cream cone of course…
we paint pumpkins & flowers…
