just a few things from the past week around our house that I want to remember…
my little girl & her sweet little toes at bath time…
Sophia & I feeding the “ducks” which I guess aren’t ducks but it just sounds better than “feeding the geese” ha.
the fact that she always, always wants to cook with me. which I love. jarred used to do the same thing with me all the time only he said he was making potions & Sophia says she is making barbies dinner…
then we made cookies & I opened up the towel drawer & found her “oven mit” sitting in the drawer. don’t worry, it is a clean sock…
this rainbow yesterday & how excited she was for it…
her laying in her tent watching Pocahontas or “hocapantas” as Sophia calls her…
ok, so I was really looking forward to cooler weather & cozy nights where it get’s dark by 5. then it happened & we were all like so now what do we do?? so now, before it is sub zero temps were just sucking every last second out of the day before it get’s dark…
oh yah & pogo sticks, so not a fan of them. the neighbor girls have one & Sophia wanted on this thing so bad, I didn’t even want Mikayla on this thing & she is 15! ha.
Sophia working hard on her next set of letters to send out to her “pen pals”. I love that she loves to do this & I so love that you guys wrote her back!! you have no idea how much she loooves getting those letters in the mail, almost as much as she loves to send them out.
all of these pics are straight out of the camera, except for the bath ones. good or bad I really just wanted to have them here.
the one thing that hits me hard & is so clear to me is that Jarred is nowhere in these photos. that is hard. we miss him. we miss having him here, at his home, with his family. but that is how life works right? you do your best to raise whole people, you give them all that you have, you make mistakes & you pick yourself back up & then one day they are ready & you don’t see them everyday anymore. I am proud of him & I worry about him all in the same breathe. we have talked since he has been gone but seriously, I just need to see him for a few minutes to give him a hug.
