Hi! my name is Gina, I am a mother of 3, a wife, daughter, sister.
I am a photographer. a collector of memories & moments. I am a believer that in 10, 20, 30, 40 years, the moments that we are going to want to remember are the little ones. the little everyday moments that sometimes we all take for granted but nonetheless, those are the ones where the good stuff is.
I am a believer that even when our days are hard, even when we feel tested or unsure, those are the things we are going to want to remember because they make us who we are. I believe in capturing our lives, where we are today. the good & the hard. because, they are all US.
those moments of truth are what I long to capture. for myself & for you.
As of 2017 I returned to school to pursue my degree in chemical dependency counseling. It is 2019 and I am now a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. This has forced me to step back from taking clients for photography, although I do miss doing photography full time, I know that being a counselor is what I was made to do. All of my life lessons, all of my struggles, watching other people struggle, it has all led me to this career.
I am passionate about my career as a chemical dependency counselor. I am passionate about helping others through their struggles with addiction and to find the happy and healthy life that is waiting for them on the other side of recovery. I am currently pursuing my degrees in social work and mental health therapy.
Although I am no longer doing photography full time, it will forever be a part of me, it will forever dictate how I see the world around me and how I choose to create. Photography will always inspire me. It will always push me to look deeper into life, into the light, into the small moments that go unnoticed and for that I will forever be grateful to photography.
me and my crazies… back in 2015.
